Team Mangers are the mainstay of any soccer team. While it is not a hard job and does not take much time, it is a vital job to allow the coach or assistant coach to serve his/her primary role of training children how to play soccer.
Being a manager does not require any experience or knowledge of soccer. We will teach you all you need to know and provide you with the materials you need (except for enthusiasm). If you can be a parent, you have already exceeded the organizational skills to be a manager.
Our league registrar and administrator will hold a short training session at the beginning of each season to teach managers what they need to know, and are always available for questions along the way.
It is the manager job to help the parents know:
-Where the website is,
-What the game practice schedule is,
-How to find game locations
-If the games are cancelled
-Coordinate uniform orders and game snacks and drinks.
Advanced team managers take on the additional responsibility of picking up and maintaining player cards for every one on the team when printed out by the league registrar and helping the coach decide if and when the team will participate in a local tournament. This is usually second nature to a team manager that has done more than 1-2 seasons.
Team managers may also assistant coach if they desire.
