RESPONSIBILITY: Coaches- Please be sure that at least one of your team parents are assigned to show up at the time listed. The locations are either at the shed, designated fields, or the tent areas. Participation ensures that there is enough “people power” to perform the tasks necessary for the youth soccer program and to prevent a few people from trying to get everything done.

 

FIELD SET UP (FSU): First match of the day, make sure at least one parent arrives early and helps put out flags, nets, goals, cones, and helps with any other tasks needed to prepare the fields for the first match of the day. It takes 30 minutes and is essential if matches are to start on time.

 

TENT SET UP (TSU): At the start of the day make sure one parent will arrive early to help get the information tent and gear ready for the day’s games.

 

TENT MARSHAL (TM): Tent Marshals will help at the tent either before or after their child’s match and are asked to man the tent for at least 45 minutes with the exception of the 8:30time slot. Tent Marshals will be at the tent to help with miscellaneous tasks that occur during the days events. A “senior” soccer person will normally be there to help and share their experiences with the new people. Typical tasks include answering questions, helping visitors find the correct field, helping distribute team photos, and etc. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE INFORMATION NEEDED TO ANSWER THESE QUESTIONS IS AT THE TENT - PARENTS WILL NOT BE LEFT “UNARMED”.

 

FIELD WRAP UP (FWU): Make sure at least two parents are assigned to stay after the last match and ensure that the field equipment is secured (flags down, cones picked up, nets removed on U5/6 and U7/8 fields). We are also asking that the last team on the field please make sure that the fields are left clean but please note that :

 

TENT WRAP UP (TWU): Two parents are asked to stay after the last match and assist with breaking down and putting away the gear from the information tent to wrap up the day.

 

THIS LEAGUE BELONGS TO EVERYONE, AND WITH EVERYONE’S HELP WE CAN ENSURE THAT ALL MATCHES START ON TIME AND THAT EVERYONE HAS THE BEST EXPERIENCE POSSIBLE DURING OUR SOCCER SEASONS.
